Metal braces have come a long way over the years and now they are not the big metal “tin grin” of our parents’ days.
The metal braces are now made of very strong space age materials and because of this, are now much smaller in size. The arch wires are held in place with alastic ligature ties (small elastic bands) which can be clear, metal coloured or a multitude of colours, including fluorescent and glow in the dark.
The latest braces can even be gold dipped to add more meaning to the term “fashion designed jewellery”.
